HOLY GRAIL: 'Ride The Void' First-Week Sales Revealed
January 31, 2013"Ride The Void", the sophomore album from Southern California traditional metallers HOLY GRAIL, sold around 1,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 9 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Released in Europe on January 18 via Nuclear Blast Records and in North America on January 22 through Prosthetic Records, "Ride The Void" was made available as a limited CD version including a bonus track, a black 2LP version and a strictly limited clear 2LP version. The follow-up to 2010's "Crisis In Utopia" was recorded with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, HATEBREED, CHILDREN OF BODOM) throughout the year, working around national tours with DRAGONFORCE and VALIENT THORR. The cover artwork was created by famous American digital matte artist Dylan Cole, who is well-known for his work on movies like "The Lord Of The Rings", "Avatar" and "Daredevil".

HOLY GRAIL is currently taking part in the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise alongside IN FLAMES, KREATOR, SABATON and dozens more. This spring, they will join ANTHRAX, EXODUS, HIGH ON FIRE and MUNICIPAL WASTE on the Metal Alliance tour, which stops at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival before wrapping up with two appearances at New York City's Irving Plaza.
